Child Forensic Interviews

Courage Center 2

A Child Advocacy Center

A Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is an organization that helps law enforcement investigate cases of child abuse. In 2015, the Courage Center 2 was created to reduce the number of interviews and decrease the number of people who question a child who has experienced trauma. It is also a place for pediatric forensic examinations done by our team of forensic nurses. The Courage Center 2 is a child-friendly interview center where children of all ages and developmentally delayed adults come to talk to a trained interview specialist about allegations of abuse. This Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) process involves a team from various agencies and disciplines such as the district attorney’s office, law enforcement, social services, child trauma therapists, victim advocacy and the child forensic interviewer.

The Courage Center 2 (CC2) is dedicated to the needs of Solano County’s children and developmentally delayed adults. SANE-SART has been in partnership with the Solano County District Attorney’s office since February 2016. CC2 serves the Solano County community with 2 locations in Fairfield and Vallejo. CC2 is an affiliate center of the National Children’s Alliance.
